Ivie’s 3rd long player “Room 11” sees their main songwriter Grant Byrnes step back and let the band breathe their ideas into the mix. With the backbone of the band having played together for over twenty years and known each other since school days, “Room 11” is a laid back folk, blues rock based album coated in the warm smokey vocals of Grant Byrnes. Lush acoustic melodies, tasty lead lines, and great feel in the rhythm section with the extra texture of Coby Clarke on percussion make for a warm fuzzy listen. Recorded with long time collaborator Syd Green and produced by Ivie and Syd “Room 11” hints at pastoral folk, Soul-Blues and so much more….

First time vinyl release covering their original EP “Riftwood” and single “New Boy” plus a previously unreleased studio recording. First 50 copies come with a bonus CD version of the album with 3 extra bonus tracks including one brand new recording produced by Brian Cachia.
Christ Art Museum evolved from Sydney based band “Damnation” fronted by Abi Tucker. Upon Abi leaving to pursue a solo career the band recruited former Tooth singer Scott James Smith to fill the void. After a few further line-up changes the band settled in with new drummer Syd Green (fresh out of Mantissa) and bassist Jason Klein (WouldGobblins). Following further down the monster sludgy guitar riffing path opened up by guitarist Leigh Unger, Christ Art Museum crossed their love of grunge and metal and wrapped it in a twisted Industrially warped tone. Their first EP Riftwood produced by “Michael Letho” was an inspired piece of work leading to original bass Player Andreas Lanz returning to the fold for their next single release “New Boy”.

If you are looking for a positive spin on the otherwise bleak year that was 2021 look no further. The Rendezvous is the debut collaboration between 2 stalwarts of the Sydney music scene. Dave Peck & Grant Byrnes played together during the annual Sydney Desert Sessions that ran between 2011-2014 and culminated with a small group of recordings with the rest of the members under the banner of 38 Sports. Their history runs way back to the early 90’s with Dave playing in Sydney bands Mudeye, Othermind, Lime & Bobsledge while Grant had done stints in Brujo, Magnus, Guilding The Lily and more recently Ivie.
Recorded in a relaxed atmosphere in Dave’s home studio, The Rendezvous is inspired by classic 70’s hard rock with sprinklings of classic 80’s metal, grunge and stoner rock, the result a blistering set of groove laden rock tracks tied together with Grant’s rich smokey vocals.
Their debut album, and the 1st vinyl release on Rizz Records is a limited edition and numbered set of only 200 copies with the first 50 records coming with a bonus CD.
